At times during my recent perusal of our nation’s so-called Southwest I would let my eyes wander past the scantily clad showgirls to the dusty horizon. I couldn’t help but wonder why, of all places, they picked a desert to build Las Vegas? Yeah… yeah… I hear you mumbling something about Las Vegas literally meaning “the meadows” because of some Artesian wells that supported some green areas way back when. But the only green I saw was artificial turf, legal tender, or felt table covering. I wonder if all the resort casinos were in Hell would they be as popular… 
…yeah, thought so.
