When it rains, it pours! Tom Brady voted 2007 NFL MVP.

It’s a great time to be a Pats fan. My boy Tom Brady is the NFL 2007 Most Valuable Player as voted by the Associated Press sports writers. Maybe I should start wearing my #12 jersey to work? :-)

Patriots quarterback Brady rides records to MVP Award

Add Most Valuable Player to all the other accolades Tom Brady has been collecting.

The New England Patriots’ record-setting quarterback drew all but one vote Saturday in romping to The Associated Press 2007 NFL MVP Award in the same manner his team romped through its schedule, going 16-0. On the way to the first unbeaten regular season since Miami went 14-0 in 1972, Brady put on a performance for the ages.

Brady deserved the MVP this year. He played for it. I also liked it that Brett Favre got a vote too. He had a monster year, when everyone thought he was washed up!

@ Chris :: Yeah, I like Favre’s story. I like that everyone thought he was too old and done and he came out and got his team a #2 seed in the NFC. Impressive… and exemplary of the tough guy Brett is.

Personally, I don’t really follow football. But even so, congrats on the perfect season and the MVP. It’s hard to really follow football when your own team hasn’t done well since 1957. Namely, the Lions.

For the record, Brett Favre received 1/2 of a vote. Brady got the other 1/2 vote for a total of 49 1/2.

Yeah I thought Favre was going to choke. We need more tough guys on the field taking hits like a pro.

I’m not surprised at all! The way this guy was going, this was completely expected. Too bad for him it’s been all downhill since that golden year. Seems like a great guy too.

Wow, its kinda sad to see how things have gone for Brady since that amazing year.

I guess that’s the way of things in the world of sports, and the way of life, all that goes up must come down.

i really love Tom Brady! he is indeed one of the great players I know :) More than anything, it would seem to be his brainy good judgement. Though totally immobile (he did not rush for ten yards all year), he infallibly makes good decisions, leading a not overpowering offense masterfully, making the sharp, short throws accurately, and throwing a deep ball at which we marvel. He does not throw to an acclaimed corps of receivers (not a Pro Bowler among them). And they’re all short, so Brady doesn’t get to throw those alley-oops to the corner, letting a basketball-style athlete outjump a shrimpy cornerback.

Tom Brady’s Perfect Season … but Not A Perfect MVP Vote…

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots went through the entire regular season of NFL football this year, 16 games, and were undefeated. A feat not done since the 1972 Miami Dolphins did the same – but only 14 games back then.
    So, you’d imagine th…
