If you remember from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn, these same critters you speak of were used by Kahn in the beginning of the movie to control those two Starfleet Officers. But the author of the article may not be correct about the ethnic groups affected. One officer was bla - err - African American,  and the other (Chechov) was an anglo. You didn't see Sulu, probably Japanese, getting sarcastic. But, Sulu did turn out to be homosexual...What did the online paper say about the critters and sexual orientation?</description>
