People that are part of the Elite, inbred psychopaths usually, don’t regard those below them as anything more than footstools becaue they are usually psychopathic and almost certainly are social darwinists who believe that just because they have risen above all of us they are better and therefore must keep rising above us by all means necessary. We are the children you don’t tell the actual “Inconvenient Truth” and instead fabricate a “Conventien Lie.” Global warming is this lie and Al Gore is the chosen Jesus figure for this lie as they push us into the age of austerity where the environment is the religion and scientists are the priests. Stalin said repeat slogans. Hitler said make they lie a big lie. They have done both and, being the domesticated, most adaptable and studied beings on this planet it works once again.

We used to have one of those eco-freak groups in our town they were always filing those stupid lawsuits to stop logging and he lived in a log house and had another house with a wood burning waterheater and their HQ was made of wood with a goofy fish shaped sign made of wood AND HOW MANY TREES WERE CHOPPED DOWN TO PROVIDE THE CELULOUS FOR THAT STUPID ECO-WACKO FILM TREE-SIT and everytime these eco-wackos sit in trees they have 2 x 4s and plywood in their platforms there was even a picture in TIME a few years ago where some eco-hypotcrit was sitting in a tre in a plywood platform with STUMPS SUCK spray-painted on the bottom STUPID GRANOLA MUNCHING TREE HUGGER IM GETTING A TASTE FOR GREEN FREAKS SQUAWK SQUAWK FORGIVE ME HURCULES IM LOSING MY TEMPER

Surely the Liberals can find a spokesperson with integrity on this subject who can lead by example instead of just make money doing speeches?

Went to the Live Earth show in E.R., NJ on Saturday.
Music was great, fun crowd. Chuckled when I saw the plane circling the stadium w/the demanddebate.com banner.
Unfortunately, most of the show was smoke and mirrors covering up the absolutely self-righteous ignorance of the Gore worshippers. Al Gore preaching from his pulpit of lies and hypocrisy infuriates me.
Here is why I feel this way…Celebrities flew in private jets to perform and preach about “consumption”, while there were 2 dozen CO2 tanks behind the stage in plain view used to assist powering the lights, equipment and speakers, etc.
There were paper towels in the air conditioned restrooms. There are concession stands, loud speakers, outdoor lighting,etc., all powered by standard electricity derived from FOSSIL FUEL!
Advertisers in the stadium include TOYOTA, Hess & GEICO car insurance!!! Who are they kidding?
Being aware of our consumption is a good thing. Being wasteful is not a good thing.
Unfortunately, Live Earth failed getting their message across because their own abuse of the Earth’s resources counter-effect their cause.
Nice try, though.

In this enlightened age of gluttony and over indulgence, where Forbes’ list of extravagantly rich people are all BILLIONAIRES, Al gore is just another bored rich guy trying hard to sell us on the latest wave of hysteria. Kind of like Michael Jackson selling us on the advantages of being a white pedophile…

@ scot :: Oh boy… I was expecting you to start calling me “poopy-head” any moment. Your comment is a textbook example of emotion overcoming scientific facts. The number of dissenting scientists being published in the media is growing… although I would say that the number has always been high, but it’s the few alarmists who get the news time (which is why they do it).

I laughed out loud when I read how Al Gore’s mansion has more people living in it than a small apartment complex. Wouldn’t that make a great sitcom?! It would be Al, Tipper, and a random hoard of people… Ha!

The major point is whether global-warming is man-made… and whether or not man can “reverse” global warming. I answer both as NO. I don’t think man is causing the little warming we see… and that being the case we cannot counter-act it in any discernible way. I say the natural cycles of the sun are causing the changes (and have been for millions of years).

How do I know that man is not causing global warming? Oh geez, where to begin? How about this… Mars is warming along with Earth. Have the “failed policies of this administration” now attained interplanetary ramifications? Does the methane from cows’ arses on Earth travel to other planets?

I remember posts like this when I was a teenager on IRC. There was also some Troll out there just looking to start a fight. You were good, but not great. Your spelling was a little too good. And you should try to sound more hostile.

Sarcasm aside, I think we have some serious issues with your facts.
1. Al Gore’e house has the same number of people as a small apartment complex? I THINK this is the most ridiculous point you made. First, I’ve never seen any documentation that refers to his “compound.” Only his 10,000 square foot house. That’s only four times larger than a normal house. So I am going to find it hard to believe there are 30, much less hundreds of people living there. Secret service details are generally not very large. Even still, if the place was packed to the gills, at some point, all those people in a single home are going to start overlapping energy needs. Everyone can’t turn on their own light, their own TV, etc. It just doesn’t scale that way unless you have a lot of separate units. And who are all these other people living there? I’d be shocked if there were ten people who lived in that house.

2. It’s nice that you’re firmly convinced that human activity is the cause for all weather now. But the problem is, there’s still a lot of debate on this matter. Even if I agreed (which I don’t) that most experts on climatology (experts on whales, petroleum, Star Wars, fashion, etc don’t count) believed in this, the problem is that consensus doesn’t make something true. Once upon a time, nearly everyone thought the world was flat. And they were all wrong. And let’s just talk about our scientific knowledge in the last 50 years. Many things we thought we knew have changed radically. And don’t get me started on our ability to predict future weather…

3. Whether Al Gore’s ultimate aims are good or not, he’s turning out to be a poor messenger. You already drank the Kool-Aid so it’s not surprising you don’t have a problem with it. For people who aren’t convinced, listening to somebody who travels around in giant SUVs and has a house that costs tens of thousands of dollars to heat is going to cause some skepticism. It’s just human nature. It’s like having a random fat guy tell me to go on a diet because I look too heavy.

You are missing the point. Yeah, he might be a hypocrite- but if you keep putting your heads in the sand and pretending that there is not a problem with global warming you are irresponsibly turning your back on the future of your children and grand children because you are either too selfish or too stupid (like being diverted from the real issue by hype about Gore’s compound that is probably 20x the size of any of our homes and has more people living in it than a small apartment complex) to pay attention. Ex vice president’s have secret service details that live on premise- how many people do you suppose that is? How many other staff do you think may also live there? Give me a break and quit being so eager to show how obviously ignorant and foolish you are.

Politics are not what they used to be. No politician is afraid of lying or being a hypocrite because the majority still follows blindly. Gore could Tell the world that he cured cancer (or invented the internet) and even though we all would no it was false nobody would care (at least not CNN and the millions of people who watch that s###) well… that’s it… later.
