Detroit turned from a white, prosperous car building city into a ghetto. It's sad, really sad. But anyway, this is about Spitzer and NY, right? One thing that my dad has been noticing is that every time a scandal happens, the politician (Clinton, Kwame, Spitzer, McGreevey) has to drag his wife into it and pose in front of the media's cameras with him. Probably just a prop to show he at least has one person supporting him. Strange that a wife would do that in a sex scandal. The first thing I'd ask of an unfaithful spouse is reconciliation, the second would be a divorce. Well, they wanted Black Power in Detroit, now they’ve got it, and look what happens. I do, and the news is totally swamped with all the stuff the mayor has been doing. Getting it on with his chief of staff, having wild parties in the Mayor's Mansion, killing the exotic dancers that were there, giving insider tips to a friend on how to bid on construction projects, purguring himself and his chief of staff, covering it all up, getting it revealed, and not stepping down with whatever grace and dignity he may still have. I admire Spitzer for saying "what I did was wrong, I'm stepping down."
