So the number one Al-Queda leader in Iraq is now roasting in hell. Good. That man willingly displaced his humanity with pure evil. If you don’t believe in that sort of thing just watch Zarqawi saw the head off an innocent man (the infamous Berg video – EXTREME caution is advised). Not enough people have seen that video.
What then blows my mind is how the media want to jump all over the news that he was still alive for a brief period after being rocked by a couple 500lb instruments of love. I heard clips from a press conference where reporters were practically salivating to find out if he was “roughed up” by US troops… or whether or not his and other bodies were treated with the proper Muslim customs, whatever the heck that means.
Insanity. I don’t remember hearing any concern from the media whatsoever about the treatment any of the beheaded hostages received. Maybe I should repeat that… I don’t remember hearing any concern from the media whatsoever about the treatment any of the beheaded hostages received. Seriously… I heard nothing on whether or not they were beheaded with a kosher machete… or what about if they were allowed any last words or a hot meal?
The talking heads of the media have an agenda. Foremost is the alarmist tone that they know sells more newspapers and advertising time than the “mundane” good-news stories (the same alarmism that will have every light breeze coming out of the Gulf of Mexico this summer on the front page). But they’ll also try to find any wrongdoing by US troops that they can. They’ve even printed crap photographs incorrectly cited as civilians executed by US troops. Unfortunately the Muslim furor that brews from journalistic gaffes like this aren’t targeted at the gaffe-makers… but at US troops. If only… IF ONLY… insurgents would target careless journalists, then the newspapers and airwaves would be a better place.

I'm a Christ-follower, compelled by my faith toward reason, which points directly toward conservatism. This world's daily onslaught of lunacy offends my intellect and senses, so this is my venue to blow off steam.

I hear ya, Zarqawi will not be missed and some how I don’t think those will be virgins he’s seeing…
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Love :: Well put.
Mike :: No, probably no virgins… although he himself may have been designated to be someone else’s virgin.
Cal Thomas noted this in a recent article regarding the Brits’ MSM ‘reporting’ of the suicides of detainees at Gitmo:
“[I] recall a profound remark by former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who once observed that we in the West make a mistake when we “transpose” our morality onto those who do not share it.
Mrs. Thatcher is quite correct, we make a serious mistake to think that Islamafascists like Zarqawi feel any sorrow about the merciless killing fields they have created and continue to create. WarAxe is absolutely accurate in writing that Zarqawi made a conscious choice to reject humanity for pure evil. As a brother of mine noted, “I wonder what Zarqawi had to say in the millisecond after his brain stopped waving.” Remember, vengance is mine says the Lord.
Hey, speaking of blogs and politics. Check this out if you want to see a real kook:

Union71 :: That’s a good quote. It’s funny, because the concepts of good and evil are so evident in everything… even in math and physics. There’s right and wrong… order and chaos. And we supposedly hold certain truths to be self-evident. There is a programmed sense of what’s right and wrong in everyone… and people freely choose which to follow. Did someone say “free will”?
The trouble with some is that they don’t want to accept such knee-jerk bigotted conservative concepts like “evil” and “wrong”… despite the fact that children readily grasp them and children’s stories are replete with them.
John :: Oh boy… that guy’s a nut. A clown, even. Just a few steps shy of Rita X.
waraxe; who are you?
