What’s In Your iPod?

They say someone’s musical selection says a lot about them. (who is this “they”, anyway?!) :-| My iPod contains quite a cornucopia of tunes spanning many genres. My tastes reflect the multiple perspectives I “observe” my music from… and they also somewhat reflect my propensity for electric guitar.

Right now, according to iTunes, my 17 most played songs are as follows (artist / track):

Hoobastank / Let It Out
Alanis Morissette / Crazy
Celtic Woman / She Moved Thru’ the Fair
Chris Cornell / You Know My Name
Train / Ordinary
Brandi Carlile / The Story
Damn Yankees / Coming of Age
Sunclub / Boomboom Good Time
Dokken / Walk Away
Alice Cooper / Disgraceland
Def Leppard / White Lightning
Dream Theater / Burning My Soul
James LaBrie / Pretender
Delerium / After All
Evanescence / Sweet Sacrifice
Dave Matthews Band / The Last Stop
Stryper / 10,000 Years

I could post an entire blog entry about almost every one of these songs… but we’ll save that for another time. :-)

    What about Paris Hilton?

@ drewr :: Thanks! And yeah, Stryper is still kickin’ it. I saw them within the past year and, believe it or not, they were the tightest act I’d ever seen. And they were dishing out the rock. The song I listed, 10,000 Years, is their newest version of Amazing Grace… and it’s good.

@ scott :: Brandi has got such a unique voice… and she pulls off her folk-blues-rock very well.

@ John :: The song I listed was her cover of Seal’s song Crazy. I liked Crazy anyway… but her version is really good, too. I think it appeared on the soundtrack to The Devil Wears Prada. (because I know you’re a really big Glenn Close fan) [how many n's in Glenn?]

@ capo :: You mean Jailhouse Rock?

Wow, the Paris Hilton comment is too funny. Sounds like something you would hear on Leno. I have to say, just the other day I listened to her “hit” single and it was just terrible! I can’t believe anyone would like her songs. Ick.

Web Design, you’re just jealous. Paris has more talent in her entire body than you have in your little finger. She’s a great singer, a model, a TV star, a video and movie star (and not just night vision movies either) and someday she’ll be a great humanitarian and fight for justice and other cool causes too. Why, she might even be president someday, you just wait and see.

Don’t happen to fancy her do you capo?
More seriously…. that’s an eclectic set of ‘Tunes’ and with the AM issue, thats not her best track by some way, you got a copy of Under Rug Swept? – Awsome album.
P.s. Nice to see someone still listening to Train (again – I’m About To Come Alive is better IMO)
