Some of you, especially those of you who know me but can never remember my blog’s web address [Hey Mildred... I forget if it's Negative Thirty-Nine or if it's Sedative Ninety-Five?], get to my blog using SteveMooradian.com which I had set to redirect to Negative99. Well, this will still work, but alas, there is now an official SteveMooradian.com that is its own site. *cues the trumpets*
I wanted a light, clean, very simple page to be a good address for a business card or something of that nature. If I were to attempt commerce I would want to provide a crispy and poignant front, rather than immediately inundating a newbie with my literary missiles.
I used Macromedia Flash (which is famous here on Fridays) to do the main menu interface. I got the idea of the shifting boxes from an example I saw on FFiles.com… and I forget the author but I’ll find out and give him credit.
The new site is painfully simple and pithy, but I’d still be interested in knowing what people think. ![]()

Hi Steve! I had fun clicking on the boxes on your new website.
Since I know NOTHING about web design, I thought I would comment on a sentence instead. You wrote: “While I am in various music groups I am always open to opportunities.” Maybe it would be slightly clearer if you preceded “opportunities” with “other”, “more”, or “new”. The sentence took me a second to figure out, and since your intention is to use the site for professional purposes, I thought I’d mention my confusion. Otherwise, I like it! Looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks for checkin’ it out, Michelle. That’s exactly the kind of feedback I need.
I have a bazzilion ideas for version 2.0 of the site (coming sometime before 2007)… it’s just a matter of having 27 hours in a day, that’s all.
boy, shore is purty…he he! Seriously, the clean lines and slight discolorations of the ambiguous quadrilaterals makes my optic nerves twitch all sorts of ways. ( I have no clue what that meant, just trying to be wordy).
man after my own heart (but with a lot more web ability) … seems i want about 100 of my own websites just because i get bored of the one i have
anyway, i like it - if possible, a very faded image within each colored block would look great in my opinion. still “in the background”, but a nice self portrait in each colored block would be cool (obviously, faded enough as not to dominate the text).
Yeah, I plan on making some tweaks here and there to this page. Eventually I’ll probably do a whole new one trying out various new tricks and devices I learn in Flash.
