I enjoyed this post. I have been dealing with similar stuff by the PC thought Nazis. According to them, if you aren't a Daily Kos consuming Michael Moore loving vegan propagandist then you haven't seen the light. Ick, the presumptuous nature of these people bothers me and in the end they throw out insults right and left because they were offended by true utterances. Geesh! The world is a screwy place. My dad calls a certain phenomena Oprahfication where someone believes that they are right and have reason to be right, despite utter ignorance in an area, yet their opinions are given as much credence as a trained expert. I think this is egalitarianism gone awry if you ask me. Oh, sorry if I offended you;) hehehehehehe 09 11 06

I like that. I must say Raffi that I was once one of those people but not so much offended, but rather ranting on the evils of cultural celebrations such as the Easter Egg. I brought it further and said that you should not even celebrate any Christian Holidays because many of them had an orgin in pagan culture. Don't even bring up Halloween. Thats the Devils day. He's coming to get ya. Keep your kids locked up and don't watch Charlie Browns of The Great Pumpkin. Then I had nieces and nephews and I couldn't resist the urge to see my 2 year old dressed up as a bunny. Then we would go to Aunt Bertha's house and she would give the kids some candy. Pretty good fun as I remember it. Well now I am on the side of expression. Teach your kids the truth and love them. I don't have any kids but if I did I would teach them how to live in a world that is messed up and while were at it, enjoy it too. I am a White Anglo Saxon Protestant and listen to secular music, vote Republican usually, drive a Toyota made in America, grew up on 2nd hand smoke, like Santa a lot, have four cats, and love my wife.
