Flash Games

MicroTanks

Let Flash Friday begin. I know… it’s a mix of cheers and boos… but who can turn down a Flash game!? Ever since Macromedia took Flash from it’s roots in rudimentary vector graphic movies to full-blown, lightweight web applications the possibilities have been nearly endless. I am learning this stuff heavily at work right now and thoroughly enjoying it. Maybe I might even get one of my own creations on here at some point. Unfortunately I can’t show any Flash stuff I’ve done at work because it’s a regular highly classified facility complete with razor wire and guards wielding automatic weapons (no… really).

Well, let’s not have all this Flash talk and military talk without a little mixin’ of the two. You remember Combat for the Atari 2600? It came bundled with the console (Pac-Man, too!) for a long time. This little cutie called MicroTanks is pretty close to that.

Yeah… sometimes I’d rather play these simple clsassics than the more complicated and time-consuming newer ones.
