Yes, you can send a Christmas wish (or simply a “get well” wish if it’s not Christmastime when you read this) to a wounded soldier you don’t know… keep reading to find out how.
We’ve all seen the emails circulating that ask you to send a Christmas card to one of the American soldiers being treated in one of our troop hospitals. This is a GOOD thing, but these chain letter emails are inaccurate… they usually instruct people to address the letter or card to “Any Wounded Soldier”, which will only get it destroyed with all the other anonymous mail. It is the policy of the USO not to deliver any mail unless it is addressed to a specific soldier — each year several hundred thousand cards are destroyed unopened.
There are two main reasons for destroying unsolicited email to troops. Foreign enemies may use letters laced with anthrax or another chemical/biological agent that will reduce the moral and effectiveness of the American fighting soldier. Domestic enemies (anti-war activists) may use letters to send demeaning and degrading messages to wounded troops (and yes, this happens more than you’d think).
My aunt and uncle run the Christian Servicemen’s Center at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and last year they received some cards from Christian friends, which they then hand delivered to wounded soldiers both locally at the post and also at Walter Reed in Washington, DC. They would LOVE to get cards to deliver to soldiers, as it gives them another opportunity to minister to them.
Simply mail your card or letter to the following address: email me for the address — obviously I can’t post it.
I can, however, assure you that a lonely soldier will be encouraged by your cheery greeting and words of thanks (which my aunt usually accompanies with copious amounts of fresh church-folk-baked homemade cookies).

I'm a Christ-follower, compelled by my faith toward reason, which points directly toward conservatism. This world's daily onslaught of lunacy offends my intellect and senses, so this is my venue to blow off steam.

What a wonderful idea. I only wish I heard of it sooner so the card would get there by xmas =)
I’d love the address anyway, to cheer them up would be a lovely way to give this season.
Hello….
A few weeks back, I decided to write something for our men and women serving in the military,,, and for those who have served in the past….
So I wrote this song,,”We Owe it all to You”… a newspaper here on Long Island, wrote and told me if it were a You Tube video,, he would promote it in his paper… so I then got in contact with AnySoldier.com and was given permission to use the photo’s they sent me… next step, my wife put the slide show together… and now we would just like to get it to as many military personel as possible,, (and their families) just to let them know how we feel…
(this show is also on the site AnySoldier.com go to news and stuff, then video corner, and there are over a dozen other radio and vfw sites that have included our link..)
It’s for all our men and women serving our country, the ones who have served in the past and all of their families…. It is in many VFW halls throughout the states, disks have been sent oversea’s. it’s on facebook and myspace accounts, and it’s been sent to many military establishments…it’s in forts, camps, Va Hospitals and ships and subs…
Is there any way you can write about this? ,,,,,,OR put it on your web site???? A LINK? OR ANYTHING ????
THIS IS FOR OUR MILITARY… PLEASE… IS THERE SOMETHING YOU CAN DO?
