Gerard Baker of the London Times just put out a brilliant, hilarious, and scarily portentous piece titled He ventured forth to bring light to the world parodying Barack Hussein Obama’s recent European glory-tour. The writing is filled with Biblical references so if you’re a heathen you may not “get” some of it… but it’s beautiful.

I'm a Christ-follower, compelled by my faith toward reason, which points directly toward conservatism. This world's daily onslaught of lunacy offends my intellect and senses, so this is my venue to blow off steam.

Absolutely hilarious, i’ll be sure to get copies for my whole family. They’ll laugh to the point that they nearly suffocate. Then they’ll catch they’re breath and start laughing again.
are you really going to vote for McCain?
@John3Sobieski
I’m glad you enjoyed it.
@Scott
Well, I never really said I was voting for McCain… I was only pointing out how eloquently that British article goofed on Obama’s magic red carpet ride around Europe.
That being said… I’m not sure there’s any palatable alternative to John.
i’m just curious of course…but exactly what do you find “palatable” in relation to John McCain?
@drewr
Oh boy… there’s a ton of things I could list, because McCain and Obama hold very different views on most issues (even though their websites phrase their positions in the most similar, blurry, and feel-good of ways). I’ll name two reasons why I don’t think Obama is a “palatable alternative” to McCain.
First, Obama supports a womans “right” to have a doctor shove sharp metal into the base of the skull of her live baby… and that’s not really palatable to me. He says that banning partial-birth abortion would be a step towards outlawing all abortions, and thus he can’t support the ban.
Second, Obama wants to socialize medicine… and I think that’s outrageously insane (and thus… not palatable). He says that it’s every American’s right to affordable health care, which is incorrect by any understanding of the US Constitution.
In general I want much smaller government. I want a fair, flat tax that helps everyone when it drops and hurts everyone when it rises… otherwise we’re not all on the same page.
Ron Paul was my guy… but he’s not on the ticket, so…
Obama,no more words.Thanks.
@waraxe
Well Palin is against abortion on women who’s been raped or victims og incest. How would she feel, if she had to carry the baby of the man who raped her.
@ Jones: yes, yes YES!!!!! Sarah Palin is a airhead!
“i can see Russian from my porch!”- sarah palin
I have found someone who agrees with me!!!!
The story is quite amusing. It is because Mr. Baker even include “Carla” and “Bruni” in the story. But I guess he also include the catchy lines of Obama βYes, We Can.β I wonder if he made some satire about McCain.
Hilarious. That child has done so much to bring light into the world. I can hardly see from the shine. Oops…I mean it’s really dark here.
