When we lived in the US (I’m British by the way) I remember all the locals asking me whether the Brits celebrated Independence Day (which I know isn’t the theme of this post, but funny all the same)! I guess it requires some level of historical knowledge to know why that’s so funny…

Late post: Happy Thanksgiving! I agree when you said that, ” We have so much wealth that we think is “automatic”… or worse, we think it’s our “right”.” The reality remains that we are blessed than others and that we should be thankful and satisfied with what we have. Thanks for posting this, it will definitely remind other people of the true meaning of Thanksgiving!

Thanks for this rather late Thanksgiving post. I read Rush Limbaugh’s take on William Bradford’s socialist experiment. Where has this been? Why haven’t more people been exposed to this wisdom? I know that I might seem naive but I have to believe we can pull these libs out of the fire if we can shine the light of true free market conservatism on them. Either that or they’ll run for the darkness!
