@Sam
Oh crap, you're right! For every minute I "selfishly" pray for lower taxes and laws against child murder, then I have to pray an equal minute for socialist government wealth redistribution so that people don't have to turn to Christ-centered ministries for care.

When I was at a Buddhist temple just north of Mongolia... there were these prayer wheels that the locals would spin (clockwise, I think) because with every complete turn God would get a prayer through the prayer wheel. So I started spinning a few of them the wrong way so that Satan could get a few prayers, too. :-)

@Scott
I never seem to be at an election party for the wins... just the losses. As far back as the '92 election every election party I've been at was a defeat for the pro-life candidate and a win for the pro-abortion-rights candidate. Laying low the last couple elections has paid off... so I'm torn.

Although... not much can compare to watching the premature celebrations in Kerry's camp last time as they reveled in faulty exit polls... only to watch their faces succumb to disbelief when the real numbers started rolling in. That was like apples of gold in settings of silver. :-)

I don't know, does the fairness doctrine cover prayer?

@Scott
I remember the ride home from the Super Bowl party... it was long and unpleasant. I've been invited to an election night party... but I'm not sure I could take another ride home like that.

@Sam
True - it's not over until it's over. We can do the one thing that socialism can never take from us... prayer. :-)

@Dave
Sadness... despair... darkness... a black day for us all.

Steve... take heart. You can lead a donkey to water, but can't always make him go away. Anyhow, it isn't over yet. Remember the 1st time your red sox beat my yankees in the post season?

Great post. I actually watched the entire narcissistic, vapid 1/2 hour production. You didn't miss anything. There was one point where they featured a poor sap who was struggling to make ends meet reaching into his suposedly empty wallet to pay for a modest meal for his family. I kept thinking, with like 600 million bucks on hand, don't you think the "O" campaign could have had the decency to pick up the check. Oh, wait, first he has to raise his own taxes, then go to Washington and develop a government program, hire a slew of beaurocrats, come up with proper requirements, and require the poor guy to wait in line at some county social services "soup kitchen" to apply for the entitlement. Then he can go home and wait like 45 days for the check to arrive.
