Today we are free because greater men and women before us bled for it. Some still bleed. Others carry old scars. Let us be sure that we forget none of them. If you want to honor the fallen, find an elderly or disabled veteran and lend them your helping hands for a few hours… and [...]

There was just a great little tidbit on Military.com [article link] about the benefits of working out with free weights (regular dumbbells and barbells) versus the benefits of using machines built for specific exercises. I actually use both depending on what muscles I’m working and where in my routine I am.

Yes, you can send a Christmas wish (or simply a “get well” wish if it’s not Christmastime when you read this) to a wounded soldier you don’t know… keep reading to find out how. We’ve all seen the emails circulating that ask you to send a Christmas card to one of the American soldiers being [...]

I live in the socialist Northeast where any slightly critical remark that could be remotely interpreted as possibly applying to a specific culture or race is totally and extremely offensive — unless, of course, you’re poking fun at rednecks/Southerners (which to ignorant Northeasters are the same people), or Christians. Wow, I justed watched Rambo and I was pleasantly surprised at the plethora of issues and principles put forth. I’ll have to post more about on this soon, but suffice it to say that third-world plight, pacifism and the use of deadly force, militant fascism, and “who would Jesus punch” were all addressed in some [...]

Ahh… the good ole’ call-your-parents-before-a-firefight gag. That one never gets old. In fact, I think I’m going to start ending all my phone conversations with “Incoming! RPG! _click_”.

I just saw Iron Man at the theater. You’ll read some of my criticisms here, but all in all it was a fun and exhilarating cinematic ride. Oh yeah… minimal spoilers, so relax (in case you don’t read comic books)! The Acting This was a pure gem for Robert Downey Jr. as he masterfully filled [...]
