With all the clamor over the candidate debates and financial hysteria I have to tune it all out… because it has reached saturation. Too much talky talky on the major media outlets with nobody trying to make any sense of it… they just keep talking. Our problems in this country are simpler than [...]

I’ve been a little silent on here… but not for lack of things to rant about. I’ve been traveling to Lake Placid, watching the Olympics, and playing the game Mass Effect. I’ll be posting pictures from Lake Placid soon… and I’ll also be weighing in on the Mass Effect game (because there’s a [...]

Instead of posting on my blog I’ve found myself watching the Olympics. I’m not sure why, but once I start getting into it I can’t turn it off. The wave of patriotism that naturally comes from national competition forces left-leaning journalists for a few weeks to have to pretend the United States is [...]

Gerard Baker of the London Times just put out a brilliant, hilarious, and scarily portentous piece titled He ventured forth to bring light to the world parodying Barack Hussein Obama’s recent European glory-tour. The writing is filled with Biblical references so if you’re a heathen you may not “get” some of it… but it’s [...]

I begged them to implement the WordPress.COM avatar-generation option for the WordPress.ORG software… and in THIS version they did! That means that if a commenter doesn’t have a Gravatar (although everyone SHOULD!) I’m swamped with to-do’s. I won’t even start listing them… but one is to get our new Watkins Glen pictures up on my gallery (and by extension, Flickr… or vice versa). I also need to “discover” craigslist and put a bunch of furniture on there. Oh yeah, and upgrade WordPress to 2.6 [...]

Back to the grind – don’t make me go back to work!? I’ll have have plenty of pictures and reflections from the heartland (of New York) very soon.

I have a new Samsung Instinct phone through Sprint… and despite decent internet connectivity this is no way to blog. Pages take forever to load and the screen res is just too small.

For those sincerely appreciative of this great country, and the relatively cushy care-free lifestyle they’ve been blessed with, may they be granted further blessing. For those who are not… may they be cast out into the darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For our troops, grant them safe travels [...]

There was a time when a ballot measure banning race discrimination would have received the whole-hearted support of civil rights organizations. My how their principles change once the race discrimination is in their favor. I hate bigotry and hypocrisy equally.
